TRAINING & EXPERIENCE

Shae is an AHPRA registered Acupuncturist & Chinese Medicine Practitioner with over 18 years of experience. He is passionate about Chinese Medicine and contributing to the health and emotional wellbeing of communities. Having run his own clinic in Alice Springs for almost 15 years, he has also recently worked as a locum doctor at clinics in the Grampians and the Perth Hills, volunteered at village hospitals in India, and established free community acupuncture clinics in Kinglake for bushfire victims post Black Saturday 2009.

Shae has extensive experience treating everything from musculoskeletal pain to stress / anxiety / mental health, PTSD, sleep issues, restoring function after injury, fatigue, metabolic issues, and a wide range of other health conditions.

While serving communities in remote and regional areas, he has developed the ability to care for patients of all ages and stages of life, including sensitivity for those from non-English speaking cultural backgrounds. Shae is described as a dedicated, warm, and compassionate practitioner, who is deeply committed to helping people achieve better health and balance through holistic, individualised & non-judgemental care, utilising the effective tools that Chinese Medicine has to offer.

In his spare time Shae greatly enjoys anything out and about in nature. Be it watching birds, walking in forests, or along the rock pools of a river. He is always up for engaging in philosophical debate and sharing good food with good folks. You can often find him exploring ‘off the beaten track’ places while travelling locally and abroad, and has a keen interest in learning and understanding different cultures.
