About
Dr Scarlett is a Doctor of Chinese Medicine, holding a Bachelor of Health Science in Chinese Medicine with training in both Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine. She is registered with AHPRA and an Accredited Member of AACMA.
Scarlett practises with a hands-on, grounded, authentic approach, creating a supportive space where patients feel understood. She is passionate about providing individualised treatment and working in alignment with the natural cycles of nature, incorporating Daoist principles into daily life through seasonal practices and herbal cooking.
She has a strong clinical practice in Acupuncture, Auriculotherapy (Ear Acupuncture), Chinese Herbal Medicine, Moxibustion, and Chinese Fire Cupping, using these therapies and the wisdom of Traditional Chinese Medicine to deliver holistic care that supports long-term health and wellbeing.
With a background as an elite-level gymnast training up to 32 hours per week, Scarlett has also developed a deep, embodied understanding of the physical body, movement, and performance demands. She gained firsthand awareness of how high-level training can impact the body physically and energetically, as well as lived experience of musculoskeletal strain and injury. This sparked her early interest in injury prevention, rehabilitation, and long-term structural health, which continues to inform her clinical focus on musculoskeletal conditions and physical wellbeing through a holistic lens, including the fascia and the body’s natural capacity to heal in accordance with Chinese Medicine principles.
Scarlett has also cultivated a strong personal and professional relationship with yoga, particularly Yin Yoga, which is deeply connected to Chinese Medicine meridian theory. She has practised extensively and facilitated multiple Yin & Pin (Yin Yoga and Acupuncture) integration events with yoga teachers. These sessions explore Five Element theory, seasonal awareness, and the relationship between the internal landscape of the body and the external rhythms of nature, encouraging deeper self-awareness and restoration.
Alongside her clinical work, Scarlett has a long-standing background working within the health industry, including as a Chiropractic Assistant, and previously at Angea Acupuncture, a women’s health-focused Chinese Medicine clinic. During her time there, she deepened her experience in gynaecology, fertility, pregnancy support, and women’s health. Scarlett also practices at The Health Press in Melbourne, where she provides acupuncture and Chinese medicine treatments within a multidisciplinary clinical environment.
She values helping patients understand the patterns behind their symptoms so they feel empowered in their own healing process, and supported in cultivating long-term health and balance.
With a deep respect for the roots of Chinese Medicine, Scarlett is continually seeking to deepen her understanding of the medicine beyond the clinic walls. She will soon be travelling to China to further immerse herself in its culture, philosophy, and traditional ways of living, exploring the roots of a medicine that has shaped both her professional practice and personal life. For Scarlett, studying Chinese Medicine is an ongoing practice of observing nature, cultivating presence, and understanding our place within the larger cycles of life.
